Amazon.com Review Appropriate for small spaces contending with offensive odors, Hamilton Beach's compact device plugs into standard receptacles to offer ongoing odor absorption. Powered by a quiet, internal fan, the mechanism pulls in unwanted odor and projects fresh air to eliminate bad scents rather than perfuming over them. With its 6-foot reach, the gadget works best in bathrooms or targeted areas such as near the litter box or diaper pail. If running continuously the included carbon filters last approximately one month but can be stretched to four if only used occasionally. A built-in usage indicator can be set as a reminder making it easy to track and recognize when replacement needs to happen. Measuring 4.0 by 6.0 by 4.0 inches, this product features sturdy plastic construction and comes with a 1-year warranty. -- Amy Arnold

| Customer Reviews: Odor Removal for Small Spaces May 21, 2010 Renter (USA) I'm adding a point for superior service from Best Point Sales; otherwise, I would have given this a three.
Best Point Sales got this item to me faster than I expected, and they threw in two extra filters for free. The item was in perfect condition and even included the registration paper. I would most definitely buy from this vendor again.
However, I would not buy another TrueAir odor remover. The appliance does remove odors, don't get me wrong. And it is compact, though it's only slightly smaller than its nearest competitor, the Febreze Odor Eliminator. The thing that puts the Febreze ahead of this model, though, is the fan. The TrueAir's fan is really loud. Distractingly so.
If you're going to be plugging this into a room where noise is not an issue, like for instance a busy garage, then this is a good buy. You also might want to consider it if the white noise is a bonus, like in a dorm room with thin walls. However, if you're plugging this into a room where you need quiet, I would recommend the Febreze model over this one.
Works, but... May 22, 2009 Justin Laird 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Works great at eliminating both odors and dust, but changing the carbon filters is a pain. Especially since they don't sell them in stores.
i have this August 10, 2007 C. Courter (Michigan) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
i'm not sure if it makes a difference or not...i have mine near the door where my cats litter box room is, as there is no plug outlet inside the room for some reason. well, i opened up the machine to see how the filter looked as i haven't replaced it since i got it, and its pretty dirty. so, thinking logically, it does make a difference, albeit small because of its small size. best in a small room though, thats for sure! don't expect it to be ultra powerful, its pretty small, duh.

All this did was make continuous noise in the bathroom. The plug-in from the grocery store was far superior.
