| Customer Reviews: No Noticeable Difference August 25, 2010 R. Dohna (Oceanside, CA USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I use my Holmes air cleaner in an average sized bedroom where a smoker stays. The cleaner itself seems to work okay at keeping the smoke and odor down to a minimum. I bought these thinking it would be even better at odor control. But after using them as directed for two months, I just don't see/smell a difference. I'll save my money and just continue to use the regular filters and maybe change them more often.
Don't buy these! August 24, 2010 M. Booker (Virginia) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these to add to the Holmes mini tower air purifier in my son's room. I thought it would be another way to keep his room nice and fresh smelling, espeically since the diaper pail is in there. After a few weeks I noticed around the air purifier white dust. Everytime I would dust, it would reappear a day or two. Then is started showing up on his furniture all over his room. I was worried he was breathing is so I opened up the air purifier to change the filter and the inside was covered with this white dust from the A&H filter booster! (I know it's from that because we have the same air purifier in another room w/o the booster and no white dust.) I wiped it clean, threw away the filter booster and put in a few filter. In a couple of days, there was the white dust again. It apparently got down in the air purifier and there is no way to get it out. I ended up getting a few air purifier and no white dust! I e-mailed Holmes about this. I don't know if anyone else experience this but just wanted to share.
You can save some money and reduce environmental impact by... February 9, 2010 John P. West (Albany, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Vacuuming the old ones out a few times with the hose attachment before you replace them. You can use a vacuum "crevice tool" to clean the cracks in the hepa filter, but you really need to replace those periodically, and they are more expensive.
Also suction the body of the device.
Wrong Size May 22, 2009 Kent A. Watson 2 out of 9 found this review helpful
There was no number written on this order and I got the wrong one.
They were too small for the filter that I have and I did not have enough.
